Finally — A Sequel To Everquest Style Gameplay

Everquest was released on March 16, 1999 and recently celebrated its 17th anniversary.  It has had a very successful run and thousands of gamers are still enjoying it today.

Typically when a popular and successful game is created, you eventually end up with one or more sequels.  Sadly for Everquest fans, that sequel never materialized.  Sure there was Everquest 2, but it contained game mechanics which were very different from the original.  What about Everquest Next?  Well, that was recently announced as canceled. So what are long-time Everquest fans to do?  Well, perhaps history can help be a guide.  Everquest’s original development is partially attributed to a game developer by the name of Brad McQuaid.  Brad has demonstrated a good track record of developing games that people enjoy playing.  Besides Everquest, he helped with Everquest 2, Planetside, Star Wars Galaxies, and Vanguard Saga of Heroes.

Brad now has a new game that he is helping to develop; it is titled Pantheon Rise Of The Fallen.  Pantheon looks like it will provide a lot of the game mechanics of the original Everquest, along with some new ideas.  I anticipate that Pantheon will be able to deliver a really enjoyable long-term gaming experience.

I am including a link below to Pantheon’s official website.  Check it out and let me know what you think.
